Billy Wayne Doyel
February 28, 1949 - August 25, 2021
Billy Wayne Doyel Born February 28th 1949 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma on the golf course that his father was a care taker at. He was the youngest of four children. The Doyel family moved to Wasco and lived and worked in the farm labor camps. The family then moved to Bakersfield where Billy graduated from North High school in 1967.He worked for a short time at a gas station then at a machine shop. Not long after, the oilfields called his name. Billy loved the rigs and made many, many good friends while working in the oil patch. He rose in ranks until starting his own company called, "Billy Doyel Consulting." He retired after an injury in 2017. Billy married Bonnie and they had four children. Gary Doyel, of flint, Michigan. Edward Doyel, who passed away when he was 10 days old. Timmy Doyel-Thomas, married to Rob Thomas, Timmy Doyel passed away in April of 2021. Jennifer Doyel-Ward of Ardmore, Oklahoma, married to Gary Ward. Billy and Bonnie divorced but remained friends until she passed away in December of 2012.Billy married Carol Cable. They were together for 40 years. Billy raised Carol's six children. Joseph Cable of Lebanon, Oregon, who married Jennifer Houston. Jason cable of Spokane, Washington, who married Samaria Bradshaw. Jamey Cable of Bakersfield, California who married Maundy Elliott. Joshua Cable of Spokane, Washington. Jeremy Cable and Jennifer Cable-Doyel of Bakersfield, California. Billy not only raised these 9 children but he and Carol helped raise 3 other children Melanie Smith who married JT Brown, Landon Ferguson who married Jodie, and Johnny cash who married Dawn all of Bakersfield, California. Billy and Carol sponsored 20 children in Sakila Village, Tanzania. They bought cows, chickens and other food supplies. He even bought a man in Sakila Village a set of prosthetic legs so he could work to take care of his family. The list of this man’s wonderful legacy goes on and on. Everyone who knew Billy has great respect for him and in the years we've known him, we never knew anyone that could say anything negative about him. He was a great man and he can never be replaced. Billy's life was full of Love, compassion and respect for others and he was a God loving Christian. Billy's love of family grew to include his 9 children and his 3 special children. He was also blessed to have many grandkids and great grandkids. All our lives are so blessed for having known him may we make him proud.
