Ray Mish, our founder, has been serving families in Bakersfield, Kern County and California for over sixty years. At 80 years old, Ray is still directing funerals. He made a promise to his family, friends and community, that he would always be there to help. The Mish Family had sold their funeral home to a large corporation in hopes that they could keep their funeral costs down, but like any big company, the prices increased more and more. In January 2004, Mission Funeral home opened it's doors and once again, Ray was now in control of his own funeral home. Mission Family is providing funerals and memorials with the same care and service the Mish Family has always been known for and Ray has kept his promise, to always be there.
